San Francisco--Yahoo unveiled on Thursday its fourth reorganization in the past 18 months as the embattled company seeks to focus on independent strategy after rebuffing Microsoft's takeover bid.
The company said it would create three new divisions to help centralize its Internet products, grow its audience and better capitalize on the growth of web advertising.
The new teams will be an audience products division led by Ash Patel, who previously served as head of platforms and infrastructure; a U.S. regional division led by Hilary Schneider, who previously led the global partner solutions group; and an insights strategy team, whose leader has yet to be named.
The divisions will report to Yahoo President Susan Decker. Decker told Reuters that the reorganization did not reflect a change in her role within the company.
